A LIFELONG JOURNEY
Linda is my severely autistic, nonverbal, and intellectually disabled daughter. I share both her experiences and my own as her full-time care provider. She requires 24/7 protective supervision and lives a life of complete dependence on others. My intention is to bring insight and awareness to what life truly looks like for those with severe autism and the caregivers who walk by their side.
This site includes two separate blogs:
Walking Through Autism - shares the real life details of our autism journey. It reflects endearing moments, breakthroughs, and victories, to include the difficult realities that build strength and resilience. By sharing the uncomfortable moments of severe autism, awareness is better understood. This awareness helps support those walking this very difficult and lifelong path.
Creative Power - is my personal creative outlet, which serves as self-care and a way to maintain balance while living the caregiver life.
